International Small Wind Conference 2010

Generating your future: the world's leading small wind event

This year's International Small Wind Conference and Exhibition attracted over 650 delegates and confirmed what many have long suspected - the global market potential is fast expanding, the technology is fast maturing, and that customers from across the domestic, commercial and agricultural sectors are rapidly awakening to the prospect of generating their own energy from wind power. In short, small wind systems are coming of age.

A high calibre of speakers from across the globe shared their latest insights with policy makers, manufacturers, installers, innovators, technology experts and industry stakeholders with subsequent discussions and debate reinforcing the value of international collaboration at an exciting time for the small wind system sector. While educational seminars imparted invaluable information and advice to enthusiastic audiences of farmers and planners, a thriving exhibition filled with technology demonstration equipment satisfied the curious and convinced the many visitors that generating their own energy was not just a possibility, but realistic opportunity to cut bills, cut carbon emissions, and make money.

RenewableUK would like to thank all who contributed to the outstanding success of ISWC2010 and we look forward to continuing our support for the global small wind sector, and to welcoming you to International Small Wind Conference 2011. Extra special thanks to Core Sponsor, Bergey Windpower.

The full conference proceedings are available to view online.

Feedback from ISWC 2010

“Gaia-Wind were delighted to participate in and sponsor ISWC 2010. We feel that this year’s event has really helped us raise our profile within the burgeoning small wind industry.  We were also incredibly encouraged to see the growing small wind community come out in force to power the global industry forward.”

"As a sponsor of ISWC 2010, Evoco Energy found both the conference and exhibition to be informative, enjoyable and well worthwhile.  As a networking opportunity this event has been fantastic for Evoco.  We were blown away by the interest we received in our new 10kW turbine, so a big thank you to RenewableUK for organising and to everyone who attended, especially if you managed to visit us at our exhibition stand."
