Getting to the EICC Edinburgh

Whether you are traveling to the EICC from the UK or overseas Edinburgh is very easy to reach.

If you are traveling to the city by train you'll find that the EICC is only a short taxi ride from Edinburgh's Waverley Station and a 5 minute walk from Haymarket Station.

Being located just 7 miles away, the EICC is easily accessible from Edinburgh International Airport; click here for information on how to reach the EICC after arriving by plane.

Accommodation

There are a number of hotels available in the city centre and around the venue. In collaboration with the Edinburgh Convention Bureau, delegates and exhibitors can book rooms at a selection of hotels at discounted rates.

Carbon Offsetting with Renewable World

Renewable World develops community-managed, small scale renewable energy projects in developing countries that address energy poverty and do not contribute to climate change.

  • Delegate traveling within the UK = £5
    For the cost of £5 you can compensate for an average return flight within the UK or up to 500 miles return journey in a standard petrol car.
  • Delegate traveling from outside the UK = £10
    For the cost of £10 you can compensate for a return flight to the UK of up to 1000 miles.
  • The price of compensating for one tonne of carbon dioxide is set at £27.60 which is based on the shadow price of carbon, an estimated value of the damage caused by one tonne of carbon dioxide, calculated independently by the British Government.
